Huangshan is worth visiting in every season, and each period offers a different experience. Spring brings fresh greenery and flowers, summer offers cool mountain scenery, autumn features colorful forests, and winter creates a beautiful snow-covered landscape. We recommend avoiding the rainy season (especially around June), as wet paths and slippery steps may make walking more difficult.
This tour is suitable for travelers who are comfortable with walking and climbing mountain steps. As the itinerary focuses on classic viewpoints with a limited time frame, a reasonable level of fitness is recommended. Seniors and children can join if they are physically fit, but please consider personal walking ability before booking.
Huangshan involves walking on mountain paths and steps, and some sections require uphill hiking. A comfortable pace is maintained during the tour, but guests should prepare for several hours of walking. Comfortable sports shoes are strongly recommended.
Please prepare comfortable walking shoes, a lightweight backpack, phone, charger, ID documents and personal valuables. Large luggage is not recommended during the mountain visit and should be stored at your hotel or a designated luggage storage area before entering the scenic area.
We usually arrange trains arriving in Huangshan around 11:01 AM and departing Huangshan around 5:26 PM, allowing enough time to explore the city’s highlights. This means you will generally leave Hangzhou around 9:33 AM and arrive back in Hangzhou around 7:14 PM. We recommend arriving at the railway station at least 40 minutes before departure.
The train tickets are electronic tickets. High-speed train tickets in China are released 15 days before departure. If your travel date is within this period, we can purchase the tickets after receiving your passport information. Once booked, we will send the train details to you. Please note that during peak periods such as holidays, the preferred train times may not always be guaranteed due to availability.
The standard package does not include transportation between your Hangzhou hotel and the railway station. If you need assistance, you can add the Shanghai railway station transfer service as an optional add-on.
